ROK Cup Philippines Round 8

Antonio Racelis at ROK Cup Philippines Round 8

The final round of the 2025 ROK Cup Philippine Series at Carmona Racing Track was filled with excitement and nervousness, as the championship points were extremely close. This race would determine both the MiniROK Expert Overall Champion and the MiniROK Karter of the Year.

With a typhoon approaching, the qualifying heats were moved to Saturday. I qualified 3rd in the time trial, followed by 3rd and 4th in the two qualifying heats. When heavy rain and strong winds made the final unsafe, the officials declared force majeure and stopped the race. Based on the consolidated qualifying results, I was declared the Round Champion.

With that result, I secured the 2025 MiniROK Expert Overall Championship and was named MiniROK Karter of the Year. It was a proud and unforgettable moment that made all the challenges of the season worthwhile.

The 2025 season was a journey of perseverance, learning, and passion. It included difficult moments, from the unexpected change involving our planned chassis in Round 1 to the technical disqualification in Round 6 concerning the chain cover. Although these experiences were disappointing, they taught me to remain humble, patient, and composed, even when things do not go as planned.

Through every setback, there were also moments of joy and achievement. Every race, lap, and finish reflected the hard work, teamwork, and resilience of everyone behind me.

Above all, I thank Almighty God for His protection, guidance, and blessings throughout the season. I am deeply grateful to BRacing Development, Kuya Mike, thank you for your dedication as my mechanic and for always bringing positive energy to our races. To Kuya Onzo, thank you for taking care of my kart and engine and making sure we were always prepared. And to Coach Rafael Perez, thank you for teaching me that racing is not only about speed, but also about attitude, patience, and character. Thank you also to my photographers, competitors, friends, family, and supporters who shared this journey with me.

Most of all, to Daddy and Mommy, thank you for your endless sacrifices, love, and belief in me. Daddy told me that this championship felt like our very first victory because this season tested our resilience, adaptability, and teamwork from beginning to end. Through every challenge, we continued to believe and move forward. As Coach always reminds me, God will always make a way.

This championship is more than a title to me. It represents everything I learned, everyone who stood beside me, and the strength we found through every challenge. I move forward from 2025 with a grateful heart, renewed determination, and the lessons of this season as fuel for the journey ahead.
