ROK Cup Philippines Round 6

Round 6 of the ROK Cup Philippine Series at Clark International Speedway became one of my most memorable races. Rain arrived before the time trial, and our team chose to use wet tires while most of the other drivers started on slicks. When the rain became heavier and the track turned slippery, the decision worked in our favor, and I qualified 2nd for the heats.
I finished 4th in the first heat and 3rd in the second, earning 3rd on the starting grid for the final. In the 10-lap race, I fought hard and reached 2nd place by the final lap. I crossed the finish line just 0.039 seconds ahead of the kart beside me, making it an incredibly close and exciting finish.
Unfortunately, after the race, we were informed of a technical disqualification concerning the sprocket cover. We were disappointed because the required cover was fitted to the kart, and what I understood the officials' reference to be the clutch cover, which was not specified in the technical regulations we had been following.
It was a difficult moment, especially because it was my first experience with a result being taken away after such a strong race. Still, I learned that racing is not only about what happens on the track, but also about understanding the rules, staying composed, and continuing to learn from every experience.
